MASTONE SWS

Lubricant Softener

SWS is a lubricant and softener which can be applied to all kinds of textiles, when there is a need to increase their surface smoothness, and to lower fibre/metal and fibre/fibre friction. When applied to textile knits the product is improving very much the sewability of the treated fabrics. SWS is used in resin finishing recipes in order to lower the losses in abrasion and tear strength as may occur in such processes.

SPECIFICATION:

Appearance White to light beige liquid
Chemical nature Aqueous emulsion of polysilicone
Ionic nature Cationic
pH (10% sol.) 5 - 6
Solubility Miscible with water at any ratio.
Compatibility Is not compatible with strong acids and alkali. Compatible with water hardness.
Storage Sensitive to frost. Do not store in hot places. When properly stored, storage time is 12 month at least.
PROPERTIES & USES:

1. Reduces fibre/metal and fibre/fibre friction nearly 50% compared to untreated material.

2. The product is non-yellowing and thermostable.

3. Improves the tear resistance and the extension.

4. Does not affect dyeing fastness.

5. Improve the sewability of treated fabrics.

6. Highly recommended as a raising, napping and brushing additive.

7. Lowers the decrease of fabric tensile strength when applied together with resins.

8. Uniform distribution of the product through the cross-section of the textile fibres.

9. Recommended for application by padding process with or without other softeners.

10. Can be applied in yarn dyeing machine together with cationic softeners.
