PROPERTIES & USES:
1. MASFIX RD improves the washing fastness at 40ºC and at 60ºC for direct and reactive dyeing.
2. MASFIX RD improves the contact fastness to water and to perspiration.
3. Only slight influence on the shade and light fastness.
4. No influence on the fabric handle and on sewability performance.
5. No fishy odours.
6. No influence on the hydrophility of the treated fabrics.
7. Formaldehyde free fixing agent.
8. Suitable for all kinds of cellulosic textiles such as yarns, fabrics and garments.
PRE-DILUTION FOR COMMERCIAL SALE AND USE:
Add one part MASFIX RD into mixer
Add 3 parts cold water to mixer
Agitate 20-30 minutes
The following application dosage depending on diluted MASFIX RD
APPLICATION:
1. EXHAUST PROCESS
MASFIX RD can be applied in the exhaust process. The dyed fabric should be well rinsed before the after
-treatment with this product, to avoid precipitations with residues of anionic wetting agents and dyeing
auxiliaries.
After the treatment with MASFIX RD any excess of the product on the textiles should be removed by a cold
rinsing bath, if possible. This will have a favorable effect on the light and wet fading fastness and possibly
prevent shade changes in the case of metal-containing reactive dyes.
The pH of the after-treatment bath should be between 5-7, and the after-treatment temperature should be
to 20 – 40ºC. Treat for 20-30 minutes.
Dosage recommendation: 1-3% diluted MASFIX RD used on the textile weight.
2. PADDING PROCESS
The material which was dyed, soaped and dried is padded with 10-30 gr/l diluted followed by drying. In wet
on wet padding processes increase concentration according to pick up.
3. STRIPPING
To correct faulty dyeings, MASFIX RD must be removed from goods before redyeing.
Use the following stripping bath:
MASTONE DISPERSANT SF - 3 - 5 g/l
Acetic-acid (60%) - 1 - 2 g/l
Adjust to pH 4-4.5.
Treat at 95-98ºC for 20-30 minutes, drop bath and rinse thoroughly warm and cold water.
